PAUG Sponsors

Can you sponsor the Pauanui Beach airfield?

I have a contract with the Thames Coromandel District Council (TCDC) to be the Pauanui Airfield Operator. As such I am responsible for operating and maintaining the aerodrome in accordance with the requirements of the Civil Aviation Act 1990.

To meet the cost of operating and maintaining the aerodrome I am entitled to charge fees for using the aerodrome to commercial users and to receive donations from private users. In accordance with my agreement with the TCDC, any surplus of funds may be used by me only for aerodrome improvements or, with the prior consent of Council, to fund flying events at the aerodrome.

My responsibilities include the following:

Signage appropriate to flight operations, maintenance of windsocks and mowing of grass.

Issuing of NOTAMS as required and AWIB maintenance.

The issuing and maintenance of a Pauanui Aerodrome Operations Manual.

Liason and communication with CAA on any aerodrome issues including audit by CAA and all operational matters in accordance with CAA regulations.

Instigating a flight safety programme to encourage safe operation including the education of local residents and business interests on aviation related issues.

Creating an Airfield Emergency Response Plan and co-ordinating emergency response procedures with Pauanui Volunteer Fire Services, the Coastguard, medical services and Police.

The maintaining of a website http://airfield.pauanuibeach.com/ for the publishing of operating procedures, disseminating the Pauanui Aerodrome Operations Manual, receiving suggestions and complaints and operating a forum for general discussion on airfield matters.

How can you help?

In order to achieve this task I am calling on support from local businesses in sponsoring various activities including planned improvements to the airfield facilities, maintenance projects, flying events. This may be through a donation of materials (timber/paint/hardware/etc), an annual monetary donation to the airfield or by way of discounting for products or services for financial members of the Pauanui Airfield User Group (PAUG).

In return, how can I help you?

I will provide either a unique page on my web site at http://pauanuibeach.com/ or a link to your own website or both. If you can help in any way please email me or write to PO Box 8, Pauanui Beach.
